On May 29th, Ames Osram announced the launch of a new high-power LED product OSCONIQ with the most advanced chip technology ®P3737, The overall electro-optical conversion efficiency of Hyper Red is as high as 83.2%.
This product significantly reduces greenhouse energy costs while ensuring light output ratio (LOR). With an overall electro-optic conversion efficiency of 83.2% for deep red light, it assists plant lighting fixture manufacturers in increasing photon flux to 6.13 μ mol/s, while reducing energy consumption, resulting in a significant increase in photosynthesis efficiency and crop yield, as well as a shortened harvest cycle.
In terms of cost accounting cases, the new OSCONIQ with an overall electro-optic efficiency of 83.2% ® P3737 deep red LED saves 11% of electricity compared to LED products with an overall efficiency of 74%.
At the same photon flux, every 100 euros spent can save 11 euros. For a medium-sized greenhouse with an annual electricity bill exceeding 100000 euros, using the latest LED lighting technology from Ames Osram can save over 11000 euros per year for vegetable, flower and other crop growers.
In addition, higher photon flux can promote biomass increase and shorten crop growth cycle. Tests have shown that OSCONIQ ® P3737 can maintain 90% light output even after running for 102000 hours, and has the longest lifespan among all LED plant lighting fixtures.
OSCONIQ ® P3737 can be used for greenhouse top lighting, ridge lighting for plants and flowers, single light source lighting, and vertical agricultural applications, offering five color options: deep red light (660nm), red light (640nm), deep blue light (450nm), far red light (730nm), and plant white light, meeting the various needs of artificial lighting plant factories.
It is reported that from June 11th to 13th, Ames Osram will showcase its LED product portfolio and advanced plant lighting and sensing solutions at the Dutch International Horticultural Exhibition. At the Vertical Agriculture Pavilion (Hall 05370VF), the expert team will introduce the latest product highlights and exchange ideas with visitors in areas such as simple, intelligent, and sustainable grain crop cultivation techniques.
At the Dutch International Horticultural Exhibition, Ames Osram will showcase a brand new development board together with client Infineon Electronics.
Dr. Alexander Hoffmann, head of crop growth and industry at Ames Osram, said, "Infineon Electronics is based on OSCONIQ." ® P3737 has developed an innovative plant lighting LED module, specifically designed for growers and greenhouses. This 4-channel development board is equipped with the OSCONIQ high-power LED series, which helps greenhouse manufacturers save costs and improve lighting efficiency, making it easy to cope with harsh environments
It is reported that the maximum power of the drive can reach 1800W, and it is compatible with 120V-277V AC and 277V-480V AC power supply modes. It is worth mentioning that Infineon Electronics has the highest market share of DALI-2 D4i drivers and a wide range of options to meet various lighting needs.
According to the product plan, Infineon will also launch a 4-channel 1200W driver that can achieve bi-directional full control through a digital interface, with energy efficiency of up to 96%, and support power sharing technology, which can independently allocate power for each channel.
