China’s exports have maintained high growth for several consecutive months, and the good momentum is expected to continue in the first half of the year.
Although the new export order index in the Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) of China's manufacturing industry declined in May, Gao Feng, a spokesman for the Ministry of Commerce of China, said on the 3rd that China's exports in the first half of the year are still expected to continue the good momentum.
In response, Gao Feng said at a press conference held that day that the Ministry of Commerce conducted a questionnaire survey of more than 20,000 companies participating in the 129th Canton Fair, showing that 43.2% of the companies’ orders on hand can last for more than three months. Judging from the survey of localities, industries and enterprises, China's exports are expected to continue to maintain a good momentum in the first half of this year.
Prior to this, China's exports have maintained high growth for several consecutive months. According to official data, in RMB terms, China’s exports in April increased by 22.2% year-on-year, 10.1% month-on-month, and 31.6% year-on-year.
