From a single export destination perspective, the top ten markets for China's lighting product exports from January to September were the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, Malaysia, Singapore, the Netherlands, Vietnam, Japan, India, and Mexico, with an export value of approximately 20.5 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 0.4%; Approximately 50% of China's lighting exports, which is 0.7 percentage points higher than the same period in 2023.Among them, the demand for lighting products in the "the Belt and Road" markets such as Malaysia, Singapore and Vietnam has further increased, and the export volume has maintained a significant growth trend. The United States and the European Union are the top two trading partners with the highest import value of lighting products in China, with import values of 9.3 billion US dollars and 7.6 billion US dollars respectively. Among them, imports from the United States decreased by 2.3% year-on-year, while imports from the European Union increased by 1.6%.

The United States is the largest single market for China's lighting product exports. In the first nine months of this year, the amount of China's lighting products exported to the US market was about 9.3 billion US dollars, accounting for 23% of China's lighting export value, a year-on-year decline of about 2%. Among them, the export value of electric light source related products was about 1 billion US dollars, a year-on-year decrease of 11%; The export value of lighting related products is about 6.9 billion US dollars, a year-on-year decrease of about 2%. Looking at the months, except for February, June, and July, the US market was in a downward range in the first nine months.

From January to September, the amount of Chinese lighting products exported to the European market was about 10.1 billion US dollars, accounting for 25% of China's lighting exports, which is basically the same as the same period last year. The top ten European countries are Germany, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Russia, France, Poland, Spain, Italy, Belgium, and Greece, with exports accounting for approximately 84% of the European market, a year-on-year decrease of 1%.

In the first three quarters, the amount of China's lighting products exported to the markets along the "the Belt and Road" was about $18 billion, up 1.5% year on year, accounting for 44% of China's total export of lighting products, up 1 percentage point from the same period in 2023. Among them, the export value of electric light source related products was about 2.2 billion US dollars, a year-on-year decrease of 9%; The export value of lighting related products is about 13.5 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 3%. The top ten markets along the "the Belt and Road" (excluding European countries) are Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, Thailand, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, the United Arab Emirates, the Philippines, Indonesia and Kazakhstan, with exports of US $8.8 billion, up 9% year on year; It accounts for about 49% of the market along the "the Belt and Road", an increase of 4 percentage points over the same period last year.

From the perspective of various production areas, in the first three quarters, Guangdong and Zhejiang ranked first and second respectively in terms of lighting exports. Among them, Guangdong's exports amounted to 15.2 billion US dollars, a year-on-year decrease of 7%, accounting for about 37% of China's lighting product exports, a decrease of 3 percentage points compared to the same period in 2023. Zhejiang's exports reached 9.6 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 3%, accounting for about 23% of China's lighting product exports, an increase of 1 percentage point compared to the same period last year.The foreign trade exports of the lighting industry in provinces and cities such as Shandong and Xinjiang have increased. Among them, Shandong's export value was 3.3 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 23%, accounting for 8% of the total export value, an increase of 2 percentage points compared to the same period in 2023.
