The Jinan Euro-Asia train has opened 1,000 trains, reaching 46 cities in 19 countries in Europe and Central Asia.
On the morning of June 2, the opening ceremony of the 1000th train of the Jinan Euro-Asia train was held at the Jinan Dongjia Town Railway Freight Center, The train contains 52 containers, carrying steel balls, hardware accessories, fabrics, daily necessities and other goods, with a total of 1885.48 tons and a value of about 3.35 million U.S. dollars. The train will exit the Khorgos port and arrive in Kazakhstan in about 12 days.
According to the staff of Jinan Train Depot of China Railway Jinan Bureau Group Company, on August 4, 2017, Jinan opened its Eurasian train for the first time, opening up a new trade channel for Jinan and surrounding areas and providing a strong support for the development of Shandong’s foreign trade. In 2020, the Eurasian trains from Jinan will run 542 trains throughout the year, a year-on-year increase of over 240%, ranking first in Shandong. In the first four months of this year, Jinan opened 186 Eurasian trains, a year-on-year increase of 32.9%.
In May, while the foreign trade prosperity index of textiles and apparel rose from a month-on-month period, the foreign trade price index also showed a month-on-month increase. Specifically, the foreign trade price index closed at 177.73 points, an increase of 3.96% from the previous month. Among them, the foreign trade price index of chemical fiber filament fabrics, curtains and draperies rose more month-on-month, which drove the month-on-month increase in the total foreign trade price index in May.
